About the role

The Head of Performance Media drives growth activities across paid media (online and offline), digital, affiliates, direct marketing and referral channels. They are responsible for creating and implementing strategies to generate demand and increase customer interest in the company\'s products or services. This includes identifying target markets, understanding customer needs, and creating campaigns to drive demand.

They oversee the generation of leads through various marketing channels, such as content marketing, email marketing, social media, and digital advertising. They develop and maintain programmes to nurture and optimise conversion for prospects , guiding them through the sales funnel to deliver optimal return from the company\'s marketing investment.

This role requires leading strong internal and external collaboration to identify target audiences and execute via a blend of external (agency) and internal resources.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing marketing campaigns: The Head of Performance Media is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns aimed at generating demand. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that campaigns are aligned with business objectives and executed effectively.
  • Optimising marketing investments via pro-active budget management: Tirelessly seeking opportunities to grow quicker and better; both within, and by proposing changes to, agreed spend envelopes. They allocate resources effectively to ensure maximum impact and ROI from marketing investments.
  • Implementing marketing automation: They leverage marketing automation tools and systems to streamline demand generation processes, manage lead databases, and track campaign performance. This includes setting up lead scoring, automated email workflows, and personalized marketing communications.
  • Analysing campaign performance: They analyse data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of demand generation campaigns. This involves tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), such as lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and marketing ROI, to measure campaign success and make data-driven improvements.
  • Managing marketing technology stack: They oversee the selection, implementation, and management of marketing technology tools and platforms that support demand generation efforts. This may include marketing automation software, CRM systems, analytics tools, and other technologies to optimize marketing operations.
  • Market research and audience insight addict: They consume/propose market research and audience insights to understand customer behaviour, preferences, and trends. This information helps in tailoring marketing messages, identifying target segments, and optimizing demand generation strategies.
  • Staying updated on industry trends: They stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in demand generation, including emerging technologies, tactics, and channels. This helps them stay ahead of the competition and adapt strategies accordingly.
What we are looking for:
  • Specialist Management - experience managing a range of digital roles and experiences - able to provide direction, coach and provide development support
  • Complex consumer organisation - used to working in a fast-paced consumer environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong Performance Media and end-to-end sales funnel experience gained in a competitive fast growth environment
  • Collaborative leader- sells the vision and drives results across direct and virtual stakeholders
