Job Title Head of Photography

Reports To Head E-commerce and Mail Order

Job Purpose Managing photo studio, team of photographers and the creative output.

This is an in person only role, only those who can reliably to commute to our main offices near Pitlochry or are currently looking to relocate to the area should apply.

Role Overview



This is a unique opportunity to come join a thriving business in the heart of Scotland. We have an exciting role for a talented Head of Photography to lead our in-house studio team at House of Bruar at an exciting time of the brands growth.

This role requires a highly creative individual with strong leadership skills and technical expertise to oversee all aspects of studio management, e-commerce photography and editing. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial e-commerce photography, styling managing teams, and a strong understanding of current photography trends and technologies including emerging AI image capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:



Inspire our team and create stunning advertising, catalogue, ecommerce and brand photography. Operate our commercial ecommerce studio. Direct the team as required and liaise with relevant departments to manage product intakes and creative briefs. Maintain visual standards across stills and video. Support and liaise with the marketing team to determine and manage priorities. Carry out ad-hoc shoots required for house of Bruar. Quality control across the functions output including colour, retouch and image processing. Embracing the opportunity A.I. offers and stay up-to date with relevant technologies. Experience & Skills:



Proven experience in a senior photography role, ideally in fashion e-commerce. Strong leadership and team management experience. Expert knowledge of lighting techniques, composition, and styling. High-level retouching and post-production understanding. Experience managing studio operations and large-scale shoots. Proficiency in Adobe CC, and other industry-standard tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
