HEAD OF PLANNING (MARKETING) | 75,000 - 95,000 per annum, plus 22% management bonus scheme and company car




Based at our Head Office in Nottinghamshire, this is a hybrid role with office and homeworking. Travel to our village locations in the UK and Ireland will also be required, along with some overnight stays.

As our new Head of Planning, you'll be the Chief Marketing Officer's key partner for turning insight into action and marketing spend into impact. From performance strategy to campaign effectiveness, you'll shape how millions of people discover, choose and return to our unforgettable short breaks.



Reporting to the CMO, you'll lead our planning function across paid media and research, shaping everything from guest acquisition to media efficiency through robust, insight-led decision-making. This is a key leadership role with high visibility across the business, working closely with the CMO, the Operating Board, and senior stakeholders in marketing, commercial and guest experience.



You'll manage a substantial paid media budget - tens of millions - and serve as the strategic guardian of its performance and impact. That means using econometrics and other modelling tools to extract insight, measure ROI and guide better decision-making. But it also means translating complex data into a clear, compelling narrative - with the gravitas and confidence to influence senior stakeholders.



This is a strategic marketing role, where you'll bring specialist deep experience across media strategy, segmentation and targeting - ideally within a large-scale B2C brand. You'll ensure our market nuance between Ireland, Scotland and England is accurately reflected, know how to use first-party data to drive smarter spend, and have a proven track record of managing performance through a team and agency partners.


ABOUT YOU




A marketing leader with substantial experience of working within marketing, media or research for or on a nationally respected brand Strong background in paid media (including digital, VOD, social and traditional channels) Expertise in using data to drive decisions - econometrics / MMMs, ROI modelling, segmentation, attribution Excellent communication skills - able to simplify complexity, influence others and shape direction Experience managing large-scale marketing budgets (15m+) Collaborative, curious and commercially minded A natural coach and team leader
