About the vacancy:

+ The Head of PR and Public Affairs will lead Hedyns PR & Public Affairs service overseeing its media relations, stakeholder engagement, PR, and Public Affairs campaign activity and colleague communications.
This is an exciting new role within our Communications and Marketing team.


+

Specifically, you will:

+ Lead Hedyns PR & Public Affairs service overseeing its media relations, stakeholder engagement, PR, and Public Affairs campaign activity and internal communications. + Gather insights and, in collaboration with relevant colleagues, identify and coordinate the management of stakeholder relationships to support delivery of Hedyns ambitions. This includes stakeholder mapping and evaluation, organising events and briefings with key individuals and groups including political, business, the media, and partners.
+ Oversee Hedyns media relations plan and activity, both proactive and reactive.
+ Monitor and evaluate media coverage, parliamentary and sector news, and deliver thought leadership, to ensure Hedyn has an active voice in the sector.
+ Spot opportunities and lead on PR campaigns, working to plan and deliver campaign outcomes which focus on our customers and communities.
+ Provide a business partnering approach to Operations and Growth directorates to ensure that communications and PR campaigns are aligned to the Groups strategic goals around customers and communities.
+ Support and advise customer teams on effective ways to communicate with residents, in line with Hedyns tone of voice.
+ Coordinate the departments approach to crisis communications handling and act as the central point of communications contact.
+ Overseeing the management of Hedyns colleague communications, to create a shared understanding and meaning for colleagues around Hedyn its vision, mission, values, and impact - so people feel connected, empowered, and inspired.
+ Work closely with the Head of Marketing Communications to ensure the department is fully integrated, delivering Hedyns communications and overarching strategies.
+ Manage team budgets, providing assurance of value for money and return on investment in all that is delivered.
+ Evaluate and report function performance metrics including media sentiment, event evaluation, PR campaign evaluation outcomes.
+ Collaborate with other heads of service and corporate leads to ensure value for money and a seamless integration and alignment of various departmental goals and initiatives, working closely with colleagues across different directorates to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance overall operational efficiency and service delivery.
