JOB TITLE: Head of PR & Public Affairs



JOB LOCATION: Belfast, hybrid



REPORTING TO: Group CPO



TERMS: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract



THE JOB



This role will be responsible for leading a holistic Public Relations & Public Affairs strategy across Fibrus Group and operating our in-house Press Office. This diverse role spans corporate and consumer PR as well as public affairs and internal communications, so requires an accomplished communication professional.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?



Corporate PR



Lead the creation, development, and execution of a holistic communications program that aligns with the Fibrus' vision and strategic goals at a Group and business unit level. Partner with senior-level stakeholders across Fibrus ISP, Hyperfast and Viberoptix, providing hands-on support to develop their communications and engagement plans to deliver effectively on their priorities and objectives Develop a strategy for raising Fibrus' corporate profile through speaker opportunities, awards, and attendance at prominent events Lead crisis communication efforts across Fibrus Group by preparing for and responding to crises or emergencies and managing day-to-day incidents effectively, in collaboration with senior leadership team and functional leaders. Create, pitch, and promote executive thought leadership articles to shape perceptions around issues, and build trust in a brand via senior business leaders. Support senior-level stakeholders with interviews, panel sessions and other public media opportunities.

Consumer PR



Lead internal and external teams on ideation of impactful PR activations and executions at key moments to deliver talkability about Fibrus ISP. Work alongside the Fibrus ISP marketing team and input on creative ideas - maximising reach and impact of integrated campaigns.

Public Affairs



Formulate advocacy plans and engagement strategies. Collaborate with key influencers, stakeholder groups and public figures to advance Fibrus' profile. Build relationships with key policy makers to build Fibrus' reputation and improve opportunities to support future bids. Develop briefing documents and messaging for internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on key messaging.

Internal Communications



Work alongside the Fibrus People & Culture team to develop and oversee the implementation and execution of a content calendar to coordinate internal communication efforts related to key commercial, strategic, and operational plans, supporting alignment, transparency, and engagement across Fibrus Group.

Marketing (Fibrus Group & Hyperfast Networks)



Lead the planning and execution of a brand visual identity refresh campaign, overseeing the transition of visual identity, messaging, and communications across all touchpoints. Define brand positioning, tone of voice, identity guidelines, and ensure compliance and consistency for Fibrus Group, Hyperfast Networks and Viberoptix Work with product/marketing teams to articulate product benefits into brand-led messaging and storytelling Ensure Group brand assets and guidelines are embedded across internal teams and externally

Management



Management of Group Public Relations & Public Affairs team Manage retained PR agencies, responsible for earned media across corporate, consumer PR and public affairs. Monitor PR results and report on coverage monthly, refining strategy and plans to maximise impact in the market.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?



Extensive experience of delivering PR and PA strategies, ideally in a technology or heavily regulated environment Experience managing communications during high-profile crisis communications instances, ensuring brand reputation and consistency are maintained under pressure. Media savvy, confident and effective working with journalists and media outlets. Ability to take ownership for delivering projects with a high degree of autonomy and manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously. Confident communicator, with the ability to effectively convey messages in a way that persuades, motivates, and inspires others. Strategic thinker with an understanding of how to align communication strategies with business goals. Strong people management, including agency management, skills, and experience. Collaborative and able to work well both as part of a team and independently. Able to operate effectively in high-pressure situations.
