Salary: 68,933

London Head Office Based minimum 8 days per month)

The Role

Following conclusion of the recent departmental restructure we are now looking to recruit to the new role of Head of Press, Partnerships, and Engagement. This transformative opportunity balances leadership across three vital functions: parliamentary/government relations, strategic partnerships, and media engagement. You'll develop GamCare's parliamentary engagement programme, establish a partnership framework driving helpline contacts, and create a media strategy positioning GamCare as the authority on gambling harm. As a Senior Leadership Team member, you'll strategically allocate resources to maximise impact across all three domains.

About You

You'll bring substantial expertise across parliamentary/government relations, strategic partnership development, and media relations. Your experience will include sophisticated parliamentary engagement strategies, partnership frameworks with measurable outcomes, and strategic media relations securing high-profile coverage. Most importantly, you'll demonstrate the ability to balance focus across these three domains while maintaining integrated approaches that advance GamCare's position as the UK's leading gambling harm organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and implement GamCare's integrated external engagement strategy, ensuring GamCare maintains its authoritative voice in a changing commissioning landscape Develop and deliver a sophisticated stakeholder mapping and engagement plan that positions GamCare optimally within the new statutory levy environment Drive a comprehensive media relations strategy that secures high-quality coverage of GamCare's expertise, policy positions and service impact Define and execute GamCare's strategic influencing approach, incorporating sophisticated stakeholder prioritisation and engagement tactics Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, policymakers and influencers to position GamCare spokespeople as sought-after experts on gambling harm
