to appoint an inspiring and experienced
Head of Primary
.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and strategic leader to take responsibility for the primary phase of a thriving SEN school, driving high standards of teaching, learning, and care across the department.
The Role
As Head of Primary, you will:
Provide
strategic and operational leadership
for the primary phase, ensuring the highest quality of education, behaviour, and pastoral support.
Embed a strong, inclusive ethos where every pupil feels valued and supported to achieve their potential.
Lead and motivate staff through
coaching, mentoring, and ongoing professional development
.
Oversee the delivery of a
broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum
tailored to pupils' individual needs.
Ensure robust
safeguarding, welfare, and behaviour systems
are in place and consistently applied.
Use data and self-evaluation to drive continuous improvement and raise standards across the primary phase.
Work collaboratively with senior leaders, parents, and external professionals to ensure a joined-up approach to learning and care.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with
substantial leadership experience
in a primary or SEN setting.
Proven success in raising standards and leading teams effectively.
Strong understanding of
SEN pedagogy, curriculum adaptation, and inclusive practice
.
Inspirational leadership style - empathetic, resilient, and reflective.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to
safeguarding, equality, and pupil wellbeing
.
