Responsible for the delivery of the supply chain function in order to meet the strategic and operational procurement requirements of the business
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer
Direct Reports: Procurement Team
KEY WORK AREAS RESPONSIBLE FOR:
For the strategic supply chain requirements of the business
Implement improvements to the supply chain function of the business.
Accountable for the successful set up and delivery of all company supply chain processes, procedures and activities.
Manages, directs and supports others engaged in the full range of supply chain activities, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and relevant reporting requirements.
Ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the required plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with company processes and procedures.
Ensures appropriate supplier evaluation, audit, and selection processes and procedures are in place.
Ensure Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required.
Drive financial savings within the supply chain and negotiate cost-saving initiatives with suppliers to support this.
Work with the General Counsel to ensure framework agreements and master service agreements are in place with key suppliers.
Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership at all times.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Collaborating with third parties, such as suppliers or vendors and employees in different sectors, including shipping and warehousing. The applicant will require good written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and all relevant stakeholders.
The ability to engage with data through our enterprise resource planning software and communicate trends tp the procurement team and all associated stakeholders, the ability to communicate and apply effective change management as the function is further developed.
Interrogate logistics, support and drive service improvements to internal stakeholders.
Networking and digital sourcing within the supply chain is seen as an essential part of this role.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
Educated to bachelor's degree or Equivalent in business studies, law, engineering, supply chain or similar discipline/ CIPS qualified or industry equivalent.
Extensive supply chain experience demonstrating results and progression to a similar management position.
Knowledge of:
+ Supply Chain Principles and techniques
+ Complex Tactical Procurement
+ ERP systems
+ Framework agreements and Subcontract
PERSONAL QUALITIES/CHARACTERISTICS:
Strong Influencing, persuasion, and negotiating skills combined with drive for results.
