Purpose:




Your role will be to lead the Procurement Team in delivering both leadership and strategic direction for procurement and supply chain activities, while ensuring compliance with all legal and legislative requirements. You will be responsible for driving ambitious and cutting-edge strategic development plans for the procurement service, identifying opportunities to unlock significant savings without compromising on quality, and, where possible, further enhancing it. The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement and must demonstrate proven leadership in developing teams capable of managing high-profile procurement exercises.

Key Deliverables

:

Responsible for ensuring that the department is committed to and conforms to quality, safety, and corporate responsibility systems and procedures as documented across the Belfast site. Setting, maintaining and improving procurement standards and policies across the Belfast site, in accordance with established industry standards, practices or guidelines. Creating and driving a robust procurement plan across the Belfast site. Accountable for the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the global supply chain including import/export, quality, cost of delivery, supplier risk management, sub-contracting and continuous improvements. Establish a supply chain strategy, aligned with the Belfast sites 5-year Business Plan. Strong commercial negotiation skills, including the ability to reduce commercial risk with our supply chain. Establishes and maintains relevant KPI's, appropriate scorecards, an effective escalation matrix, and an appropriate cadence of strategic and tactical business reviews in coordination with the broader Belfast site strategy creating transparency, predictability, and accountability. As a key member of the leadership team, foster a collaborative and proactive approach, and recommend and implement solutions to company issues to drive performance enabling the company to meet and exceed its short-term and long-term objectives. Develop clear and effective performance metrics for the Belfast site, as well as individuals, measuring effectiveness; use metric trends and data to drive the business and decisions therein. Managing, influencing and upskilling a team, including direct reports, driving high efficiency and value output. Foster and support a "one team" culture. Responsible for the vendor supply base, creation of an approved suppliers list and management of both - negotiating favourable commercial terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts. Ensure that the monitoring of existing vendors and selection of new vendors is completed, considering risk, criticality to the business, performance and cost. Leading in supplier dispute resolution activities or having a thorough input into the dispute resolution activity.

Skills and Experience:



Fully qualified Procurement professional via MCIPS, (or working towards) with significant post qualification experience. Demonstrable experience of managing procurement teams covering international operations. Strong working knowledge of contract terms, conditions and supplier management. Ability to manage RFQ, ITT, evaluation procedures, sealed bid opening through to contract award and conducting supplier de-briefs. Proven strategic sourcing, influence and commercial negotiation skills is paramount. Experience of leading organisational change and implementing new procedures. Self-starter and ability to manage demanding workload with multiple conflicting and changeable priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels in the business. Strong emotional intelligence. Good working knowledge of all 'Microsoft' applications: particularly PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint. A dynamic individual, being a good team player that is flexible and can function well under pressure. Ability to train teams in the roll out of new processes, procedures and work instructions across the Belfast site.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications,



Bachelor's Degree in logistics or supply chain management Required. A minimum of 5 years of logistics / supply chain management, operation experience required. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Desirable:



MCIPS Certifications like CSCP or CPSM are advantageous
