About the Role
Klura Ltd are looking to welcome into their team a Head of Production, creating an exciting opportunity for someone to work within a fast-paced start-up that is innovative and collaborative with a chance to make a big difference to company operations.
We are looking to appoint a structured head of production expert with experience in plastics and packaging who can manage and lead the manufacturing of a new Klura product in collaboration with contract manufacturers. We expect our company to extend across multiple geographies, and building a supply channel of production in markets inside and outside UK is integral. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the chance to shape and grow a venture from the early stages.
Key Responsibilities
? Own and manage the whole procurement, production cycle and supply of products to customers.
? Set, manage and track yearly production plans across the UK.
? Optimise production costs in collaboration with the R&D team.
? Optimisation of production cost through meticulous analysis of cost, waste and yield of sequential production process.
? Initiate and maintain a strong relationship with a network CMOs (Contract Manufacturing Operators) required for production.
? Uphold the quality of Klura products through the creation and finalisation of supplier specification agreements.
? Build supply chains internationally for geographic expansion of supply.
? Work closely with the R&D and sales team on optimisation of the supply chain and future NPDs.
? Coordinate with the leadership and sales team on all aspects of the product supply.
? Protect IP during all aspects of manufacturing through NDA/MTAs.
Measures of Success
? Ensure the supply of the product to meet the needs of the business.
? Optimising cost of production to align with company budgets.
? Expansion of existing supply chain into broader regions in the UK, EU and globally.
? Ensure strong alignment with leadership, R&D, finance, and sales teams to scale production and support the launch of new products.
Experience and Skills
? Significant experience (ideally 15+ years) in plastics manufacturing and supply chain leadership.
? Background knowledge in plastics and polymers is desirable.
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
? Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholder's journeys simultaneously.
? An excellent negotiator.
? Experience setting up and maintaining a quality management system: ISO9001, BRGCS certification or similar.
? Willingness to travel internationally (up to 8 weeks per year).
? Demonstrates strong personal initiative with consistent follow-through.
? Comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
? Process improvement certifications are desirable (i.e. Lean Six Sigma or similar)
? Practical experience with HACCP within a multi-step contracted manufacturing environment is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
? 85,000 salary
? Quarterly commission based on company revenue
