Be a vocal, engaged member of the Sports SLT, providing input into business-wide issues and initiatives. Lead on all aspects of strategic delivery and organizational improvement.
Deliver consistency in execution and programme deliverables.
Ensure PMO standards are adhered to and that the processes are adopted to drive improvement in project and programme management.
Set goals for programmes in alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization.
Support and develop your project manager by providing feedback and resolving complex problems.
Ensure regular communication with senior stakeholders, keeping them informed about programme/project progress, risks, issues, and next steps.
Define criteria for the control and management of programmes and projects.
Provide clear, consistent leadership to the wider community of stakeholders that both Digital and Retail rely on for delivery.
Support the development and delivery of the Sportsbook strategy throughout the year.
Strategic project scoping and stakeholder buy-in:
Define the scope of programmes and projects in alignment with business owners and the organisation's strategic objectives.
Provide thought leadership and coordination in defining the scope of initiatives across multiple major workstreams, involving the steering group, functional leads, and regional stakeholders.
Business case development and prioritization:
Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure clear business cases are established for each initiative and aligned with PMO Standards.
Utilise a structured methodology to assess and prioritise initiatives based on their strategic value and potential impact.
Dependency mapping and project roadmap:
Conduct comprehensive dependency mapping exercises to identify interdependencies and critical paths across initiatives.
Create and maintain an overall programme and vertical roadmap
Resource requirement identification:
Identify and assess the resource requirements for each scoped initiative
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to secure the necessary resources and ensure their timely allocation to initiatives.
Outcome clarity and KPI implementation:
Define clear and measurable outcomes and KPIs for each initiative, ensuring they are aligned with strategic objectives.
Monitor the progress of initiatives against defined KPIs and take proactive measures to address any performance gaps.
Engagement and communication planning:
Develop comprehensive engagement and communication plan
Build effective communication channels and mechanisms to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Leverage strong leadership and communication skills to facilitate the success of initiatives and overcome resistance or obstacles.
Governance and documentation:
Create a Project plan, Risks/Issues log, Shared documentation and task list for every project
Regularly update all stakeholders as per agreed cadence
Clearly define roles and responsibilities for each project
Qualifications
Essential:
Demonstrated business acumen and a strong strategic mindset
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Highly analytical, with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
Experience leading well-managed, disciplined teams, ensuring high levels of engagement and continuous enablement.
Management experience and developed teams to improve capability
Knowledge of Project management tools and methodologies
Desired:
Experience driving operational and organizational change initiatives within complex organizations.
Hands-on involvement in operating model and organizational design implementation.
Background in the sports sector, particularly within online gaming or betting environments
