About the Role
This is an exciting time to join Edge Hill University. In this newly created role you will have the opportunity to help shape and develop our Project Management function, which is being established to manage and oversee a range of strategic change projects. You will be expected to deliver successful change through Programme and Project Management, leading by example in the application of business architecture principles and mindset across the institution. You will be the key advisor to senior management sponsors, enabling informed decision making across projects, process reviews and change management initiatives.
You will confidently lead and manage multiple strategic projects at one time, acting autonomously within budget, scope and schedule tolerances, to deliver agreed business benefits. You will employ end-to-end process review techniques and change management skills collaboratively, acting as a source of knowledge and support for sponsors, project teams and professional colleagues. In addition, you will be expected to understand and apply emerging trends and deliver business outcomes that are aligned to the University's strategy.

About You
As Head of Project Management Office, you will have:

  • Experience of Project Management and Business Architecture tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate changes to business processes to stakeholders with differing levels of technical knowledge
  • The ability to influence the outputs of others you are not directly responsible for
  • Proven ability to use judgement and develop appropriate solutions/responses to complex and sensitive issues where there is no established precedent
  • The ability to use management information/data effectively to inform decisions
