We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Quality to join our Modular Solutions Dvision, based at our site in Sherburn, Malton.



Severfield Modular Solutions offers a market-leading suite of products, including an expanding range of modular products to cater to diverse needs, including 'Severstor' units (robust, steel-framed modules that house critical systems equipment such as electrical switchgear) and 'Rotoflo' technology (a well-established high-efficient and controlled discharge system representing a major advance in materials handling technology).



From its facility in Sherburn, it also provides a one-stop shop for steel products and processing service using our extensive range of equipment and allows us to address smaller scale projects. They continue to set the

bar high

in their niche market!

Vacancy Details

In the Head of Quality position you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving a Severfield-specific Quality System, leading the Quality function from the front. The role ensures compliance with all statutory requirements, client specifications, and third-party quality standards. This position is critical in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products and managing the company's third-party accreditations.

Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Developing and maintaining the Quality Manual, in line with Severfield and client standards Lead implementation & internal audits of the Quality System. Maintain third-party accreditations and manage external audits. Investigate non-conformances, lead roof cause analysis, and drive corrective actions. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Compile and manage quality documentation in accordance with relevant codes and specifications. Liaise with customer representatives regarding quality compliance and inspections. Audit subcontractor work to ensure QA/QC compliance Develop and implement project-specific inspection & testing plans (ITP's) Support site quality activities and perform required inspections.

Key Skills & experience:

Significant experience in quality management or technical/engineering roles Experience in welding, fabrication, and inspection processes Solid understanding of Quality System's and ITP's Background in metals/welding; structural steel experience helpful but not essential Modular manufacturing experience helpful but not essential Previous auditing experience (internal & external) HNC or equivalent in technical or quality-related field Welding/inspection qualifications preferred.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented leader, with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in fostering a quality-first culture.
