We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded

Head of Sales

to lead the growth and development of our commercial direction in the UK market. This role combines revenue leadership with operational and administrative oversight, ensuring smooth coordination between sales, customer service, and logistics teams. You will be responsible for building a strong sales function, financial performance and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Growth Development



Develop, implement and lead the commercial sales strategy for the business. To take an active, hands-on role in sales. Achieve revenue growth targets through proactive business development. Expand client portfolio and secure long-term, high-value partnerships. Identify new market opportunities and drive competitive market positioning. Oversee pricing, commercial proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations.

Operational & Administrative Oversight



Collaborate with logistics and operations to ensure seamless execution of customer services (road, sea, air, multimodal). Support branch performance through structured sales planning, forecasting, and resource allocation. Oversee administrative functions related to customer onboarding, contract management, and documentation flow. Monitor financial performance, cost structure, margin control and contribute to P&L targets. Maintain compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and legal regulatios. Participate in budget planning, performance reporting, and senior management reviews.

Team Management



Build, lead and mentor a high-performing sales team. Set clear KPIs, sales goals, and accountability standards. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and capability development. Foster a collaborative working environment across sales, admin, and operations.

Representation & Relationship Management



Maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors. Represent the company in client negotiations, industry events, and commercial meetings. Strengthen brand reputation and promote company values through professional B2B interaction.

Qualifications



Minimum 5 years of sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics (required). Minimum 3 years in a senior commercial, business development or leadership role (preferred). Practical understanding of operational processes in freight forwarding. Strong analytical mindset, experience with KPIs, reporting and budgeting. Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving sales performance. Excellent negotiation, relationship-building and communication skills. Leadership ability with experience growing and managing teams.
