PLG is offering a unique opportunity for the right candidate to join our established team based in our Leicestershire office.

Specialising in the property interests of clients that have disabilities either through a personal injury or as a result of clinical negligence, PLG has quickly become one of the market leaders in their field.

Overview



The Head of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and delivering the company's marketing and sales operations strategy, aligning commercial activity with PLG's business objectives and core values. This role plays a key part in positioning PLG as the leading specialist in accessible property consultancy, driving sustainable growth through lead generation, brand visibility and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Leadership



Define and implement a combined sales and marketing strategy aligned with business priorities and growth targets. Work closely with the senior leadership team to align commercial efforts with operational delivery and service development. Identify market opportunities and trends within legal, healthcare and insurance sectors relevant to PLG's services.

Marketing Oversight



Develop and deliver a marketing plan that includes digital marketing, email campaigns, content and event programmes. Manage the PLG brand, ensuring consistency of messaging and content delivered across all external marketing channels. Lead content strategy including thought leadership, case studies and stakeholder communications to promote PLG's expertise. Commission and manage marketing partners, creatives and freelancers as needed.

Sales Operations



Develop business development framework with a focus on relationship-based sales to solicitors, case managers, OTs, insurers and other referrers. Analyse pipeline of enquiries and instructions with a view to developing insights on performance and opportunities. Monitor sales targets in alignment with financial objectives. Oversee the implementation and use of CRM systems to support pipeline management and reporting.

Team Leadership



Build and manage a high-performing team across the marketing function. Support team development, set KPIs, and ensure regular performance reviews. Promote cross-functional collaboration between commercial and operational teams.

Key Relationships:



Internal: Company directors, SMT, Operations and Finance External: Ideal Customer Profile firms, referrers, charities, insurers, healthcare professionals, marketing suppliers

Experience & Skills Required:



Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within a service-led B2B environment and/or professional services. Strong strategic thinking with hands-on delivery skills. Experience managing lead generation pipelines and reporting tools. Solid understanding of brand positioning and content-led engagement. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including confidence presenting externally. Experience managing budgets and external marketing suppliers.

Desirable Experience:



Knowledge of the legal, healthcare, or insurance sectors. Familiarity with disability, injury rehabilitation, or property services. Experience working in an SME or high-growth environment.
