About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Head of Sales to deliver our sales and marketing strategy, driving profit growth and market presence. This is a pivotal leadership role, requiring a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on sales expertise, and team development skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Management
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with revenue and profitability objectives.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve peak performance through coaching and structured reviews.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Monitor and analyse sales performance data and market trends to inform strategy.
Manage key accounts with a focus on retention and long-term partnerships.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities for business expansion.
Utilise CRM tools to track pipeline activity, forecast sales, and ensure targets are met.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align product development with customer needs and market trends.
Financial Management
Develop and manage departmental budgets and accurate sales forecasts.
Monitor marketing spend to ensure all campaigns deliver measurable ROI.
Provide shareholders with regular reports and actionable insights on sales and marketing performance.
Team Leadership
Inspire and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role.
Proficient in CRM systems and data analytics tools.
Strong technical understanding of trailer products, including chassis, body materials, and lightweight technologies.
In-depth knowledge of the UK trailer manufacturing market, including key players, customer needs, and trends.
Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally internationally.
