Role Head of Service, Living Options


Location 1 Ravenhill Reach, Belfast BT6 8RB


Services are across Northern Ireland.


Agile Working Policy in place.


Salary Starting Salary : 56,730 per annum


Hours 37 Hours per week


Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5pm

Friday: 9am - 4.30pm

The Service:



Our Living Options service offers a range of accommodation and support services tailored to adults with disabilities. Our accommodation services include Supported Living, Residential Care, Respite and Day Care Services. There is also a Floating and Housing Support service which assist people in their own homes or communities.




Purpose of the job:



As a member of the Living Options Head of Service Team, you will lead the delivery and development of services including Registered Care, Supported Living, Floating Support, Day Services, and Respite. You will ensure quality assurance, governance, and resilience across your portfolio. Supporting the Director of Living Options, you will contribute to Cedar's strategic aims by promoting a values-based culture and encouraging innovation. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will shape organisational strategy, build strong internal and external relationships, and drive high standards through a strong culture of quality, safety, and accountability.

Essential Criteria:

Relevant RQF Level 6 (Degree) or equivalent level qualification and a minimum of 4 years' experience (in the last 7 years) OR Relevant RQF Level 5 or equivalent level qualification and a minimum of 6 years' experience (in the last 9 years) Experience in a management role in a complex organisation to include: Experience of working with people with complex / challenging needs; Experience of working in direct health and social care service delivery; Experience of financial management and budgetary control; Working with diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation, to achieve successful outcomes; Embedding quality assurance and using established quality frameworks to meet regulatory/contractual standards; Delivered against challenging key performance management targets and making significant improvements; Successfully demonstrated high level people management, governance, leadership and organisational skills.
3. Knowledge of the policy context, legislative and regulatory framework of the public/voluntary sectors.


4. Demonstrable experience of computerised systems.
