Job Description

Our client a leading global media business and one of the biggest creators of social content in the world is looking for a Head of Social Creative to shape the next chapter of original storytelling across its vast social network. With over 150m followers across multiple social channels (including; TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook etc), this is a career-defining role at the heart of a fast-moving, audience-obsessed team.
The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with sharp editorial instincts, visual flair, and a commercial mindset - just as comfortable workshopping TikTok formats with producers as pitching a series to brands. You should have a portfolio of work that shows creativity, originality and an understanding of audience behaviour on social platforms.
You will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of standout, platform-first content that resonates with modern audiences and delivers commercial value. Working across short-form video, Instagram stories, TikToks, memes, visuals, and explainers - developing ideas that are journalistic, entertaining, and brand enhancing.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead creative development across all social platforms and push creative boundaries.
  • Own the look, feel and tone of the original storytelling and ensure every story is told in a platform-native way
  • Set the creative vision for social-first formats
  • Manage a high-performing team of editors, designers and social creatives.
  • Work with producers, on-screen talent and external contributors to bring ideas to life.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to ideate, develop and deliver branded campaigns that are editorially credible and visually sharp.
Ideal Experience and Skills
  • 5+ years in social content or creative production, ideally within a media, publishing or entertainment business.
  • Proven experience leading creative teams and delivering content across Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube Shorts.
  • Strong editorial instincts - able to spot a story, shape a narrative, and package it for scroll-stopping impact.
  • Excellent visual judgement - comfortable directing shoots, briefing editors and setting design standards.
  • Experience working alongside commercial teams and delivering branded content with flair.
  • Confident communicator, creative thinker, problem-solver - comfortable working in a fast-paced, always-on environment.
