The Role

In this Head of Social Science role, you will lead a dynamic department delivering Psychology, Sociology, Religious Studies, Social Science (KS3), and Politics (KS5). This role represents an exciting opportunity to guide and inspire this talented team, further developing the curriculum and ensuring outstanding teaching and learning experiences for all students.


You will:

Shape and develop a curriculum that promotes: Critical thinking, Cultural awareness Ethical understanding, Respect for diverse perspectives Guide a committed team of educators who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable Drive academic excellence and student personal development across all key stages Foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment

Person Specification

An experienced middle leader or an ambitious teacher ready for a step up Outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong background in Social Sciences Visionary educator passionate about developing both staff and students Committed to inclusion, academic success, and holistic student growth

(QTS required / Leadership training desirable although not essential)
