Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as the Strategic Procurement Head for Great Britain and Ireland, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing procurement strategies that align with the overall business objectives.


This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and driving cost efficiencies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to optimize the procurement process, mitigate risks, and contribute to the company's overall success.


Job Responsibilities:



Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to optimize supplier relationships, reduce costs, and ensure a reliable supply chain. Process: Drive the implementation of Procurement standards and ensure compliance with regulations, governance, and guidelines. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, managing contracts, and conducting regular performance reviews. Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities, drive initiatives to achieve cost reductions, and implement best practices to enhance procurement efficiency. Develop and manage procurement budgets, track and report spend KPIs. Risk Mitigation: Evaluate and manage supply chain risks, implement risk mitigation strategies, and ensure business continuity through effective procurement planning. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and quality assurance, to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Compliance: Ensure procurement processes adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and company policies. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform and adapt procurement strategies accordingly.

Your Skills & Experience:



Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management or a related field. CIPS professional certification preferred. At least 5 years proven experience in a senior procurement leadership role, ideally within the Healthcare sector. Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and achieving cost savings. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and market trends. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting and exceeding targets.
