Role: Head of Studies - ESOL and Community Learning

Hours: 35 per week

Salary: \xc2\xa347,055 - \xc2\xa351,675

The Trafford College Group has an exciting opportunity available to join our top performing Management Team in the key role of Head of ESOL and Community Learning. The Role:

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of a curriculum offer that meets the needs of students, employers, the local community and regional economy and be the manager accountable for an identified set of objectives in respect of curriculum planning, quality of provision and outcomes for students.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • To be the lead manager for a dynamic curriculum area, ensuring the delivery of a curriculum offer that meets the needs of students, employers, the local community and regional economy
  • To be the accountable manager for the curriculum area across all sites of the Trafford College Group in respect of curriculum planning, quality of provision and outcomes for students
  • To be the lead for the quality of teaching, learning and assessment (TLA) across agreed delivery teams/ subject areas, including leadership of maths and English for adults, ESOL and Community Learning across the Group.
  • To lead transformational change and continuous improvement across your areas of responsibility.
  • To collaboratively work with other Heads, enabling teams and the Senior Leadership team to ensure that the curriculum is aspirational and innovative, learner centric and delivered efficiently.
  • Effectively manage financial, physical and human resources across your area of responsibility
  • To support a model of stakeholder relationship management that builds the reputation of Trafford College Group and enables the development of new opportunities.
About you:

If you are passionate about your specialist subject and sharing your knowledge, skills and experience and have an enthusiasm for supporting apprentices then there has never been a better time to join Trafford College Group. In order to be successful in this role you must have a relevant degree and/or equivalent professional qualification, a level 5 teaching qualification, numeracy and literacy at level 2 and evidence of continuing personal and professional development. Experience of working in Further Education in this sector area and management experience are essential.
