Head of Supply Chain - Hull - Manufacturing - 45,000 - 60,000 + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead and optimise our materials planning, procurement, and supply chain functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to deliver results through effective planning, supplier management, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the supply chain and materials planning function to ensure smooth production flow. Oversee material planning processes, ensuring on-time supply while maintaining cost efficiency and optimal stock levels. Build and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating best value and ensuring on-time deliveries. Drive continuous improvement in planning, procurement, and supply chain processes. Support the integration and effective use of ERP/MRP systems. Manage budgets, reporting, and KPIs, ensuring targets are achieved. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to deliver operational excellence. Work closely with internal teams to ensure materials align with production schedules and business needs.

Skills & Attributes

Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Commercial awareness with proven problem-solving and analytical skills. Results-driven with the ability to deliver under pressure. Strong IT and systems knowledge, including advanced Excel and MRP/ERP systems.

Experience & Qualifications

Significant experience in supply chain or materials planning within manufacturing. Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and driving performance. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain best practices. Experience in process improvement and cross-functional collaboration. Project management skills; knowledge of lean techniques is an advantage.
