As Head of Supply Chain, you\xe2\x80\x99ll play a vital role in the management of supply chain, logistics and purchasing which supports the current growth plan for HMS.

This is an important role in which you will: * Responsible for leading HMS Supply Chain management arrangements to deliver effective buying, procurement and logistics solutions across the business.

  • To develop a programme of procurement strategies covering the range of individual projects, workstream service areas or business functions, in consultation with business managers.
  • To lead on the company\xe2\x80\x99s logistics planning including; Fleet, Waste Management, Plant and Van Stocks.
  • To ensure construction and maintenance activities are performed on a commercial basis and generate surpluses in line with business plan expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with HMS Leadership colleagues to identify priorities and align resources to meet the strategic and operational objectives set out in the HMS Business Plan.
  • To deliver business outcomes, targets and key performance indicators to achieve HMS\xe2\x80\x99s Business Plan through strong financial management, budgetary control, project and business planning.
  • Provide visible and proactive leadership for HMS staff ensuring they are engaged through positive communication of the Torus Group vision and values.
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Member of CIPS or equivalent degree/ qualification, or working towards in latter stages of Professional Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience within a \xe2\x80\x98strategic\xe2\x80\x99 procurement / buying function.
  • Significant Supply Chain management experience with a wide coverage of construction / subcontractor / Business support category areas
  • Track record of transforming business processes to improve business performance, based on intelligence led data.
  • Leadership skills which enable you to motivate employees effectively and quickly.
  • Demonstrable financial governance and commercial management experience.
