to lead our UK tax affairs on a part-time basis (up to 2 days per week). Reporting directly to our UK Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a key role in shaping and managing our UK tax compliance and planning as we build a dedicated tax function for a growing healthcare business, comprising; private hospitals, surgical centres, community MSK and diagnostic services, national ophthalmology services and Urgent Treatment Centres.
What you'll be doing
Developing and maintaining a tax strategy that supports business objectives.
Overseeing all UK tax compliance requirements, including SAO, CCO, corporation tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and employment taxes.
Managing HMRC relationships and acting as the primary point of contact.
Implementing effective tax structures and identifying planning opportunities to optimise tax position.
Providing strategic tax advice to senior leadership and managing external advisors.
What we'll look for in you
Qualified tax accountant with significant experience in tax strategy and compliance.
Strong technical expertise across direct and indirect taxes.
Ability to operate at a senior level within a complex, multi-site organisation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
