Job Description

Job Advert

Guildmore's Facades & Cladding Unit is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Technical to lead and oversee all technical aspects of facade and cladding systems across the business. This pivotal role will shape the strategic direction of technical solutions, ensure successful project delivery, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

As Guildmore currently does not have an internal design team, the successful candidate will establish structured technical processes, manage external design partners, and drive innovation to enhance in-house technical capabilities. The role also carries responsibility for quality assurance, compliance with regulations and industry standards, and embedding best practices across all projects.

Schedule, chair, and minute fortnightly Design Team Meetings and design-specific workshops. Follow up on all design-related actions, ensuring timely resolution and delivery. Attend internal fortnightly progress meetings, providing clear technical updates to the Contractor. Contribute monthly design updates to the Contractor's Report, presented to the Client. Attend Client meetings, offering technical expertise and contextualising discussions where required. Oversee document control processes within Asite and SharePoint, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of design documents. Liaise with the Guildmore Document Controller to align documentation with programme requirements. Ensure full compliance with UK regulations, building standards, and sustainability objectives.
