Position Summary:


The Head of Trust & Security will lead our comprehensive security initiatives. This critical leadership role encompasses traditional IT security, robust data security, and product-focused incident management. The Head of Trust & Security is instrumental in building and maintaining a foundation of trust with our clients, ensuring the reliability and integrity of our AI products and services, and proactively managing security risks across our organization. This role demands a broad, proactive, and customer-centric approach to security, aligning immediately with InstaDeep's core business in AI and attracting candidates with relevant experience in securing ML models and data pipelines.

Responsibilities:



Develop and implement a holistic IT security strategy that encompasses all aspects of cybersecurity, data protection, and incident management. Oversee the protection of all internal and client data, ensuring compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Lead and manage the incident response program, from detection and analysis to containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review. Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization. Manage a team of security professionals, including Security Engineers, IT Security Compliance Officers, Product Security Engineers, Soc/Siem Engineers, and Incident Managers. Implement and maintain security controls for ML models and data pipelines. Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security best practices into the entire software development lifecycle. Stay abreast of the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices, particularly within the AI and machine learning landscape. Communicate security posture, risks, and incidents to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders. Foster a culture of security awareness and responsibility across the company.

Education:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.

Experience:



10+ years of experience in IT security, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role. Proven experience in developing and implementing IT security strategies and frameworks. Strong background in security architecture, risk management, incident response, and compliance. Experience managing and mentoring a team of security professionals. Demonstrated experience in securing AI/ML models and data pipelines is highly desirable. Experience working in a fast-paced tech, SaaS, or product-led company environment.

Technical skills:



Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Proficiency in security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Deep understanding of network security, application security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data security principles. Experience with risk management methodologies and tools.

Leadership & Soft skills:



Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to influence and drive change across an organization. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. High level of integrity and ethical conduct.

Preferred skills:



Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or relevant cloud security certifications. Experience with DevSecOps methodologies. Knowledge of ethical hacking and penetration testing. Experience in an AI/Machine Learning environment. Experience with security automation and orchestration. Familiarity with security in a global, distributed organization.
