As Head of UK Finance, you will lead the finance function at medac Pharma, reporting directly to the General Manager and managing a high-performing team. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis, while owning the financial strategy and ensuring robust internal controls and compliance. This is a key leadership role with influence across the UK and global business, supporting strategic decision-making, managing financial risk, and driving commercial success. You will also deputise for the General Manager in specific tasks and play a central role in shaping the future of the UK business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to UK and global stakeholders.
• Oversee statutory accounts preparation, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Lead financial risk management, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Build and develop a collaborative, high-performing finance team.
• Manage cashflow, investment, and treasury strategies to support growth.
• Act as a key business partner across the organisation, supporting strategic initiatives and continuous improvement in line with the UK vision
• Represent the finance function in senior leadership forums and global finance meetings.
• Collaborate with HR, auditors, and external partners to ensure best practice and operational excellence.

Who You Are
We are seeking a commercially astute and values-driven finance leader with a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and at least three years of post-qualification experience in a commercial environment. You will bring strong leadership skills, ideally gained in the pharmaceutical sector, with a proven ability to manage teams, control margins, and influence senior stakeholders. You will be confident in building financial models, driving cost efficiencies, and navigating change in a fast-paced setting. Advanced Excel skills and a collaborative, people-focused approach are essential.
