We are now looking for a Head of Underwriting to join our team, based out of our offices in Colchester.


This leadership role has principal responsibility for all underwriting activity across the Arc Legal business including applying the permissions granted under binding authorities issued by capacity providers.



With responsibility for a team for 3 underwriters, this role would suit you if you are a seasoned lead/senior underwriter, with demonstrable experience of building strong relationships and negotiating with capacity providers combined with leading an underwriting team. We do not expect you to be an expert in legal expenses insurance, but a broad understanding of the ancillaries market would be helpful. What is more important is that you can demonstrate strong technical and team leadership capability.
