Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Head of Warehouse and Production to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the Leadership and Management of the Warehouse and Production function, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing manufacturing operations to meet production targets. Lead with Quality and Health & Safety at the forefront, and with a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiency and high performance.

Responsibilities:

Day to day management of Warehouse and Production functions Oversee ongoing management of production plan, ensuring all customer demand is scheduled and within SLA's Use lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and minimise waste Capacity planning based on current demand to flex up/down in line with business requirements Ensure machine maintenance is scheduled, completed and recorded to minimise machinery downtime Work with the broader Operations team and other business areas to deliver on the annual revenue and cost targets Lead, motivate, and develop staff within the warehouse and production function Monitor, review, and update SOPs to enhance quality and productivity Develop and manage a KPI framework to monitor and manage performance Work alongside the quality function to ensure that production quality is maintained and procedures are followed in line with SOPs Ensure adherence to all business processes within the Warehouse and Production function

Person Specification

Essential:

Proven experience in managing both warehouse and production operations Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in motivating and developing teams Demonstrated ability to plan and oversee production schedules to meet customer demand and SLAs Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards in a manufacturing/warehouse environment Experience in capacity planning and managing variable demand Experience of maintaining and improving SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable:

Experience in a regulated industry (e.g. food, vape, pharmaceuticals, or medical manufacturing) Experience working to annual revenue and cost targets in a cross-functional team environment Training or certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies Previous responsibility for budgeting and resource planning Understanding of ISO standards or similar quality frameworks
