Job Description

Otter Vets, Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary are looking for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse or Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a fixed term, maternity cover. The role will involve all first opinion nursing duties with shifts being split between consults and operating.

We are interested in either a full-time role working 40 hours per week or part time applicants. Most full time RVNs currently work 4 x 10-hour shifts having a regular day off each week and work 1:4 Saturdays (08:30 to 13:00). Our out of hours cover is then provided by Three Counties Veterinary Emergencies.

For part time applicants, we would love to hear from you as can adapt to suit school hours, set days a week, if this is preferred.

Our fantastic practice

Otter Vets has two branches based in the coastal town of Sidmouth and the market town of Ottery St Mary in Devon. We are a small animal practice providing veterinary care with a community feel. We encourage nurse consults and would like to build this area of the practice.

Our team is established in the community and takes part in a variety of charity events including running a fun dog show, coffee mornings and Christmas stalls.
