We're on the lookout for a Head Vet to lead our fabulous team at The Pet Vet Waltham Forest! This is a fantastic opportunity to spearhead the continuous improvement of our clinical standards and services and to upskill colleagues to support us in our aim of being a centre of clinical excellence.

What we're looking for

Our new Head Vet will be a key member of our surgery's management team. We're looking for someone with a high level of clinical expertise who is passionate about delivering outstanding care. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable in a leadership role with the drive and passion to deliver against a strategic vision, coaching and inspiring our team to consistently deliver gold standard, evidence-based care. The required working pattern is 4 days a week with 1:4 weekends. No OOH but we do need our Head Vet to be on call if they have any overnight inpatients.

In our passionate, friendly team, we currently have 1 Senior Vet, 4 Vets and 6 RVNs. Clinical specialities offered by our Vet team include orthopaedics, exotic pet care and BOAS surgery. We have a 50/50 dog & cat split in our client base, making this a great opportunity for anyone interested in feline medicine. We're constantly working on new initiatives to support skill gaps and we make sure CPD is continuous and happening across all levels in our surgery.
