We are seeking a highly experienced Head Videographer with exceptional camera and editing skills.
You will partake in, and oversee the creation, quality, and delivery of all video content within a campaign. This role combines hands-on technical production with team leadership.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned videographer who can lead by example - confident with cameras and lighting, strong in post-production, decisive in fast-moving environments, and deeply familiar with social media content trends. An understanding of political campaign communications is a strong bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of videographers and editors, providing direction, feedback, and support.
Assign roles during shoots, maintain workflow efficiency, and ensure clear communication throughout production.
Uphold a positive, collaborative environment, especially during high-pressure campaign moments.
Assist in onboarding, skill development, and performance oversight of video team members.
Work closely with the Office/Production Manager to assess feasibility, timelines, and production requirements.
Hands-On Videography & Editing
Film high-quality video content using professional cameras (primarily Sony systems) and lighting setups.
Edit content as needed, especially during high-volume or time-sensitive periods.
Work within Adobe Suite, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects, to support motion graphics, assembly edits, and finishing.
Capture photography where needed (bonus skill).
Organise file management on the campaign server.
Problem-solve on location, ensuring shoots run smoothly even under changing conditions.
Ensure all equipment is prepared, maintained, and used safely and effectively.
Quality Control
Review all video outputs before final delivery to ensure they meet brand, messaging, and technical standards.
Maintain consistency in visual style, pacing, colour, captions, and audio quality across all content.
Provide clear constructive feedback and implement systems ensuring continuous team improvement.
Social Media Content Strategy
Ensure all content is optimised for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and Twitter/X.
Apply strong knowledge of platform trends - hooks, pacing, subtitles, vertical framing, graphics, formats, and retention techniques.
Collaborate with communications teams to shape content that is both creatively engaging and strategically effective.
Skills & Experience
Required
Showreel - filmed and edited by you.
4+ years of professional videography experience across a range of environments.
Proven experience leading or supervising creative or production teams.
High-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with knowledge of After Effects for motion design.
Strong practical experience with Sony camera systems and lighting setups.
Deep understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, framing, and production workflow.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects at once.
Bonus / Nice to Have
Experience working on political campaigns, advocacy organisations, or news content.
Photography experience.
Experience with colour grading in Lumetri or DaVinci Resolve.
Experience directing on-camera talent.
Comfort working irregular or extended hours during peak campaign activity.

You must be eligible to work as a freelancer and must hold a valid Passport.
