Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to join our dynamic team. The Head Server will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by leading the serving staff, maintaining high standards of service, and overseeing the dining area. This position requires a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, along with excellent leadership skills.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the serving staff to ensure efficient service delivery. Train new servers on menu items, service standards, and food safety protocols. Manage guest interactions, addressing any concerns or feedback to enhance their dining experience. Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety regulations. Perform upselling techniques to promote menu items and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment. Utilise basic math skills for managing bills and processing payments efficiently. Implement effective time management strategies to optimise service flow during peak hours.

Experience

Proven experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and guest services. Familiarity with food safety standards and culinary practices. Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen operations is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
