Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Server to join our dynamic team in a vibrant restaurant environment. The Head Server will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by leading the front-of-house team, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties

Oversee daily operations of the dining area, ensuring that all guests receive outstanding service. Train and mentor new servers on restaurant policies, menu items, and service techniques. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, adhering to food safety standards. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Perform basic maths for processing bills and managing transactions accurately. Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing front-of-house resources effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Exceptional guest services skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. Familiarity with food preparation techniques is advantageous but not essential. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to continuous improvement.
