Job Summary

The Head Server plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This position requires a blend of hospitality expertise, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of restaurant operations. The Head Server will oversee the serving staff, ensuring that all guests receive outstanding service while maintaining high standards of food safety and preparation.

Duties

Lead and manage the serving team to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction. Train new staff on restaurant policies, food safety standards, and effective serving techniques. Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring adherence to culinary standards. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including specials, to effectively upsell items to guests. Manage guest services by addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and quality control. Implement time management strategies to optimise workflow during peak hours. Conduct regular checks on dining areas to ensure cleanliness and organisation.

Requirements

Proven experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a supervisory role. Strong hospitality skills with a passion for providing excellent guest experiences. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills. Experience in kitchen operations or culinary arts is advantageous. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with both guests and team members. Ability to upsell menu items and enhance the overall dining experience for guests. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
