Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Server to join our dynamic team in a bustling restaurant environment. The Head Server will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by leading the serving staff, maintaining high standards of service, and overseeing dining operations. This position requires a blend of hospitality expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for food and beverage service.

Duties

Lead and manage the serving team to ensure efficient and high-quality service. Train new staff on restaurant policies, menu items, and service techniques. Oversee the dining area to ensure cleanliness and organisation. Assist guests with menu selections, providing recommendations and upselling where appropriate. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards during food preparation and service. Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery. Maintain accurate records of orders, payments, and any special requests from guests. Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality with a strong background in restaurant settings. Excellent serving skills with a focus on guest services and satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills effectively. Strong time management abilities to efficiently handle multiple tables during peak hours. Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous for understanding menu items. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experiences while increasing sales. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with guests and team members. Pay: 12.22-14.50 per hour
