We are an established award winning pub based on North Road, we use local suppliers and prep and cook from fresh, including making our own hot and cold sauces, pickles, handmade chips etc. The business is primarily a students and locals bar, but is becoming more and more renowned for our great food, and we need a new chef to add to the kitchen team! Our menu is based around pub classics, with a modern / street food twist! Our team is small, but our food is mega! The ability to make a stock, simple baking and sauce work is essential, as is a working knowledge of HACCP, Food safety regulations and allergen control.
Our team is small, so you'll need to be self motivated with high standards, however training can be provided to the right individual. Ideally you will hold a Level 3 food hygiene qualification and NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent!
We are ideally seeking a Head or Sous chef, but an experienced and ambitious CDP could work too, personality is as important as skills. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and level. We are ideally seeking someone to work 45-50 hours a week, 5/7 - evenings and weekends are essential due to the nature of the business. A part time position, paid on a pro rata basis could also be available for the right candidate!
