As our projects continue to grow, we are looking for an organised and proactive Health & Safety Administrator to join our team.
This is a key supporting role within our Health & Safety function - ensuring the smooth coordination of safety documentation, compliance records, inductions and reporting across our business. You will help embed our culture of safety and wellbeing by keeping our systems up to date, our people informed and our processes running efficiently.
What you will do:
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager in maintaining records and documentation to meet ISO and OHS requirements
Ensure processes and activities align with the company's management systems: ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
Maintain and update H&S records, registers, and compliance logs (training, inductions, permits, audits, inspections)
Support the preparation and distribution of H&S documentation such as SOP's, Risk Assessments and toolbox talks
Collate and input incident, accident, and near-miss data; assist in producing summary reports and performance metrics
Monitor and maintain the company training matrix employee training and certification renewals (e.g., First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual handling, PTS) and issue reminders
Coordinate H&S inductions for new starters, contractors, and visitors, ensuring documentation is filed and complete
Assist with the organisation and completion of internal audits, site inspections, and H&S meetings, including taking notes and following up on actions
Support the rollout and maintenance of H&S software and systems (e.g. Rippling, Safety Management System)
Promote Health, Safety, and Environmental Awareness by attending meetings and encouraging positive behaviour
Maintain confidentiality and ensure records comply with data protection regulations
What we're looking for
:
Previous experience in an administrative role (ideally within a construction, engineering, or H&S environment)
Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards and how they relate to Health & Safety administration
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills
Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Professional and proactive approach, with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement
IOSH Working Safely or similar H&S awareness training
Experience with document control or compliance management systems
