Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety protocols and conducting regular assessments. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and providing solutions to mitigate risks. The project is based on a HV Substation and will predominantly be electrical works, previous construction experience would be advantageous.

Duties



Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, including root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety within the organisation. Monitor the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend improvements as necessary. Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices in health and safety.

Requirements



Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably within a construction environment. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices. NEBOSH Certification is essential; additional health and safety qualifications are advantageous. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively. Proficient in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues related to safety incidents. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent interpersonal skills.
