Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety protocols and performing regular inspections. This role is crucial in promoting a culture of safety within the organisation and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide training to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and first aid techniques. Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, including root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving workplace safety. Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, incidents, and compliance documentation. Act as a point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns within the organisation.

Requirements

Proven experience in a safety role or related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Excellent report writing skills to document findings and recommendations clearly. Proficient in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues contributing to safety incidents. First aid certification is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels. Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: 27,000.00-35,000.00 per year
