Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Advisor to join our team. This role is essential in promoting a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. The Safety Advisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs that align with industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and train employees on safety protocols. Construction experience is essential.

Duties

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Perform root cause analysis for workplace incidents to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions. Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics and incident investigations for management review. Collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement. Stay updated on regulations and industry trends related to occupational health and safety.

Skills

Strong background in construction environments with an emphasis on safety protocols. Excellent report writing skills to document findings from audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Ability to conduct training sessions effectively, ensuring all employees understand safety procedures. Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis of incidents. Effective communication skills to engage with employees at all levels regarding safety matters.
