Main Responsibilities: Health and Safety Compliance and Risk Management




Ensuring that effective risk assessments are in place for all the site's activities, including SOPRA, COSHH, Manual Handling, Noise, DSE, and other statutory requirements Ensuring Group systems for reporting and responding to accidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses are implemented Implementing testing arrangements for emergency response and fire systems Maintaining relevant KPIs and information on Health and Safety matters Providing health & safety training and inductions welcomed safely into the business Liaising with internal management providing advice and guidance Carrying out internal audits and inspections Ensuring the contractor management process is adhered to Working closely with and becoming a valued member of the Legal & Safety Team

Essential Experience and Skills for Health and Safety Advisors in Manufacturing



Experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment. Knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk management principles, especially for factory operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and coach colleagues at all levels. Strong attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach to problem-solving. Confident working both independently and as part of a team; able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively. Competent in writing clear reports and maintaining accurate health and safety documentation. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health & safety qualification is desirable. IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
