Hours of work: 37 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday. Flexible working will be considered.

Salary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range of \xc2\xa335,559 to \xc2\xa339,434 per annum with potential progression up to \xc2\xa348,855 per annum

Role Description

About the Role

We require a proactive, innovative professional for the Health and Safety Department. You will be the main point of contact for a School, whilst your expertise and knowledge in technical/engineering issues will provide advice, guidance and support across all areas of the University.

You will assist in enhancing health and safety in the University both in terms of engagement with the management system and the specific operational requirements. Skilled in acting as an agent for positive and lasting change, you will need to be fully capable of developing workable, pragmatic solutions, co-ordinating improvement activities, producing concise supporting materials and capable of evaluating performance.

About You

You will be qualified to at least NEBOSH Certification or equivalent, and ideally be a member of IOSH or a recognised professional body. You will have significant relevant post qualification experience in supporting senior managers in a large diverse organisation, with evidence of working both independently and as part of a team. Above all you will have outstanding influencing and negotiation skills, and share our passion for innovation and best practice.
