We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. This is a field-based role covering Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties, supporting multiple construction sites with hands-on guidance and compliance management.
Reporting to the Safety Director, you'll play a key role in promoting a positive health and safety culture across all sites, ensuring that our operations meet legal and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
Provide clear, practical advice to site managers, supervisors, and operatives
Conduct accident and incident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up actions
Deliver toolbox talks, briefings, and health and safety training where required
Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
Conduct regular training needs analysis and maintain the training records of company personnel
Maintain accurate records and produce detailed reports for internal stakeholders
Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practice
About You:
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential
Previous experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry
In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations and other construction-related health and safety legislation
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage people at all levels
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
