We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our established team. We're looking for a proactive and organised Health & Safety Assistant to join our team and help deliver effective health and safety arrangements across MSV. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager you will work closely with the Health & Safety Manager and Assistant Advisor to support the implementation of our annual action plan and contribute to maintaining a positive safety culture throughout the organisation. people and communities.
What will our Health and Safety Assistant do;
Assist the Health & Safety team with day-to-day admin tasks, including inbox monitoring, meeting minutes, and maintaining statutory records.
Support the coordination of audits, inspections, risk assessments, and ensure databases and records are kept up to date.
Track accidents, incidents, near misses, and support RIDDOR processes and insurance claim administration.
Help plan and coordinate H&S training, maintain accurate training records, and support the administration of the lone working system.
Monitor and manage first aid supplies, PPE, and fire alarm testing, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
Liaise with managers on warning markers, new starters/leavers, and assist in preparing H&S performance reports and updating internal platforms.
What we are looking for;
Good Standard of education with minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent
Experience of supporting a team with administrative tasks
Effective at solving problems
Ability to work pro-actively and under own initiative
Collaborative and supportive approach
Excellent attention to details
A high level of self motivation and time management skills
