Associate Director Health & Safety Consultant / CDM Principal Designer


Role Purpose


To provide proactive CDM / H&S advice to a variety of clients both internal and external.


Key Responsibilities


Undertake the role of CDM Principal Designer as defined in the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015


Full working and practical knowledge of UK Construction Safety Legislation


Provide competent H&S advice on all aspects of construction and engineering projects.


Undertake Site Inspections


Assist in training other CBRE staff with regard to H&S legislation


Person Specification/Requirements


5 years construction H&S experience, or in activates related to construction


Nebosh Construction Certificate, as a minimum


Able to demonstrate that they are Tech IOSH (or above) and IMaPS (or working to) status


Able to demonstrate understanding of the CDM process


Experience of Fire regulation and Asbestos Management preferred.


Maintains a positive attitude towards routine tasks


Accurate and exceptional attention to detail


Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team


Confident and assertive where required


Sociable and outgoing
Flexible approach to work


Understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion


Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients


Skills required -


Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook).


A good standard of education - A levels or equivalent plus relevant professional qualifications


Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing


At least 5 years' experience in an office environment, preferably in a corporate environment
