Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to oversee all aspects of workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance across our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements, company standards, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities



Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety management systems across all construction sites. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company policies. Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections, recommending corrective actions where necessary. Lead incident and accident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions are implemented. Deliver health and safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for staff and contractors. Monitor subcontractors' compliance with health and safety requirements. Prepare reports, maintain accurate safety records, and present findings to senior management. Foster a strong safety culture by promoting proactive hazard identification and reporting. Liaise with regulatory bodies, insurers, and external stakeholders as required. Stay up to date with industry developments and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field (preferred). Essential Must have experience in managing the implementation of ISO and 45001. NEBOSH/IOSH certification (or equivalent) required. Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety management within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation, standards, and best practices. Proven track record in managing safety programs on large-scale projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and engage teams at all levels of the organization.

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
