Overview

The Health & Safety Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety programs that comply with regulatory standards and promote a culture of safety within the organization. A strong Construction background is essential for this role.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Perform root cause analysis on incidents to determine underlying issues and prevent future occurrences. Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance audits for management review. Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety through effective communication and training initiatives. Stay updated on industry trends, legislation changes, and best practices in health, safety, and environmental (EHS) management.

Skills

Excellent report writing skills to document findings from audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Experience in training & development related to health & safety protocols. Ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify hazards effectively. Previous experience in a construction environment is essential. Strong communication skills to effectively convey safety information across all levels of the organization.
