Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager/Director to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs within the construction sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing workplace hazards. This position requires a proactive approach to occupational health, environmental safety, and training development. Construction/ Heavy Civils experience essential.

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies in accordance with regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Provide training and development programs for employees on health and safety practices and procedures. Perform root cause analysis on incidents to prevent future occurrences and improve overall safety measures. Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance audits for management review. Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge and experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry is essential. Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis on incidents and developing actionable recommendations. Ability to develop engaging training materials that enhance employee understanding of health and safety protocols.
