Purpose of the role

In this newly created role, you will provide a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient running of our Studio as we continue our ambitious growth strategy. Key responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe workplace environment through compliance with health, safety & welfare at work legislation.
  • Review and implement the Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are in-line with current legislation to ensure that the company meets it statutory obligations.
  • Organise health and safety training courses, as required, and monitor when certificates are due for renewal.
  • Ownership of all aspects of Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Regulations compliance, including but not limited to, issue of electronic workstation self-assessments and following up on any issues raised, workstation risk assessments, evaluating requests for ergonomic equipment and raising purchase order requests.
  • Update and maintain electronic and static Health & Safety notice boards.
  • Complete routine premises checks and identifying issues, e.g., weekly fire checks, first aid equipment, and building walk-arounds.
  • Conduct company risk assessments, both proactive and reactive.
  • Support teams with development of risk assessments including site visits to conferences, events and conventions, both internal and external.
  • Investigate accidents/incidents in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation including conducting RIDDOR notifications where applicable
  • Assisting other members of the Site team with day-to-day contractors\' health and safety e.g., permits to work, risk assessments and advising.
  • Identification and procurement of health and safety consumables.
  • Assist with environmental monitoring and compliance.
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to the Head of Health, Safety & Facilities, and other stakeholders, as required.
About you
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. NEBOSH Diploma is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar health and safety role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an open, engaging, and proactive style with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
  • First aid qualified.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Diligent with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
  • Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
